New River/McCreary County Baptist Association is unique in its makeup of two counties (Scott County, TN and McCreary County, KY). The association is located in the Appalachian Mountains and the Cumberland Plateau area of rugged mountains and beautiful valleys. Employment ranges between 16 - 18%. There is a high percentage of lostness. The plus is that there is an open door of opportunity to minister to the people.
The association ministers to the churches and reaches out to the lost in the area. They have recently obtained a building that is currently being renovated and serves as a ministry center to help meet physical and spiritual needs of the community.
Mission teams are needed to lead Vacation Bible School, Backyard Bible Clubs, Block Parties, Children's Events, New Church Start, Community Surveys, Evangelism/Witnessing, Food Pantry, Remodeling of existing Structures, and Home Repairs.
Teams need to provide their own resources for VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, Block Parties, etc. Building and home repairs will vary - each project would be determined between the team and the association. Please contact the association for more information on what resources need to be provided.
Casual or work clothing appropriate for temperature and type project/ministry.

Teams of 50 or fewer are requested.
Pray for the ministry and for materials and funds to support the ministry needs.
