The Partnership Missions Department offers KBC churches opportunities to form their own partnerships with IMB missionaries in ALL THE WORLD! Our purpose is to help churches of all sizes and levels of missions involvement fulfill their commitment to the Great Commission. Our goal is to assist your church in transitioning to greater missions involvement.
How Can The Partnership Missions Department Help?
- Trip Facilitating – We provide orientation training and help you navigate through the important logistics of travel arrangements, passport and visa requirements, immunizations, insurance and other pertinent preparation for your trip.
- Missions Networks – We establish contact with personnel of the Southern Baptist Convention’s International Mission Board and North American Mission Board.
- Missions Training – We offer training to help your church understand God’s mission to save a lost world and become an integral part of the evangelization of the nations.
- Strategic Opportunities – We are constantly researching to find projects that are part of a larger strategy to reach the world for Christ.
How Do I Get Started?
The first step is to identify your church’s current level of missions involvement and then prayerfully consider the opportunities suggested for that level. Which level best describes your church?
Level 1: Exploring MissionsDescription: Level One Churches have little or no experience with international missions but understand the importance of taking the gospel to all the world.
Next step: KBC Partnership Missions offers Entry Level Projects designed to introduce churches to mission opportunities and international field service experiences under the direction of a Southern Baptist Convention international missionary.
Level 2: Increasing InvolvementDescription: Level Two Churches have already been exposed to overseas missions and are seeking the Lord’s direction for a greater commitment to missions.
Next step: KBC Partnership Missions assist churches in forming Seeker Partnerships designed to help them investigate missions opportunities at a deeper level of commitment through multiple Entry Level Projects in a given area with the goal of moving toward the next two levels of involvement.
Level 3: Partnering StrategicallyDescription: Level Three Churches want to impact a people group or area that would otherwise not be reached. They are ready to commit to supply multiple volunteer teams for a specified time period to work within an IMB missionary’s field strategy.
Next step: KBC Partnership Missions arranges Strategic Partnerships that match Level Three Churches with international missionaries stationed in all the world.
Level 4: Committed Long-TermDescription: Level Four Churches desire to take full responsibility for an unreached people group or area without the direct assistance of an on-site missionary.
Next step: KBC Partnership Missions facilitates Missionary Church Partnerships that require a long-term commitment to reach a people group or area, using strategies and plans that are biblically sound and consistent with IMB strategy.
