18 New Churches Align with Kentucky Baptist Convention

LEXINGTON –Eighteen congregations were welcomed into the Kentucky Baptist Convention at the Nov. 13 annual meeting held at Immanuel Baptist Church.

Messengers to the 173rd KBC Annual Meeting approved 13 churches for affiliation and five for watchcare. One of the congregations is Korean, another is Hispanic and two are comprised primarily of African American members. The other new congregations are comprised primarily of Anglo members.

The new affiliated churches are Agape Missionary Baptist, Radcliff; Christ Fellowship Church, Bowling Green; Elevated Baptist Church, Franklin; Epoch Fellowship Church, Owenton; Faith Community Church, Whitesburg; Grace Baptist Church, Garrison; Grace Family Fellowship, Jamestown; Heartland Worship Center, Paducah; Holly Hills Missionary Baptist Church, Calvert City; The Journey Church, Murray; (Iglesia Bautista) Nuevo Amanecer (New Dawn), Crestwood; Pleasant Valley Community Church, Owensboro; River Pointe Church, Munfordville; and Word Missionary Baptist Church, Beaver Dam.Pleasant Valley, Owensboro.

The congregations joining under watchcare status are Bowling Green First Korean Baptist Church, Christ Community Church in Shelbyville, His Way Ministries in Nortonville, and Twin Lakes Worship Center in Benton. Churches under watchcare usually are just beginning their acquaintance with the mission and ministries of the KBC.

Purchase Area Baptist Association remains under watchcare.
