Kentucky Baptists Appoint New Members to Ministry Boards

LEXINGTON – Kentucky Baptists from across the commonwealth were appointed Nov. 16 to serve on various ministry boards by messengers to the 173rd Annual Meeting of the Kentucky Baptist Convention.
During the morning session messengers approved the KBC’s Committee on Nominations recommendations for new trustees and directors to the KBC Mission Board and nine affiliated organizations.
They also selected Tom James, pastor of Eastwood Baptist Church in Bowling Green to preach the annual sermon at the 2011 KBC Annual Meeting in Florence. The alternate preacher is Tim Alexander, senior pastor of Florence Baptist Church.
