Revolutionary Sunday School and Kingdom Purposes
Thursday 12th October, 2006When finished, the four weeks will cover the following:
- Week 1: introduction, overview of Sunday School, goals of Sunday School,
- Week 2: ministry and assimilation,
- Week 3: reach and teach/worship, part 1, and
- Week 4: teach/worship, part 2 and review.

How can an adult class carry of the Kingdom purposes? What are some key Kingdom actions which can be pursued by the teacher and class? Naturally, I already have some basic ideas. To address ministry, I believe care groups/teams work effectively. Class greeters, everyone in ministry, and name tags help in assimilation. An invitation leader and/or team, good records, and projects help us in reaching. Prayer, great preparation, variety of teaching methods, and good questions help in teaching/worship.
I hope to make the material available online. This would allow churches to train potential teachers shortly after they are enlisted. Training could be done privately at a convenient time and place for the individual or could be done with a small group at the church. Train your leaders. Invest in apprentices. Help potential teachers start well. Expect a lot. Be revolutionary!
