LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Music ministers can help strengthen the talents of young singers and musicians by encouraging participation in a statewide Kentucky Baptist choir and orchestra.
Church music directors have until March 15 to recommend new students – in grades 9-12 – for the Kentucky Baptist All-State Youth Choir and Orchestra. Those students who have participated in the choir previously should register by March 7.
ASYCO guides talented high school students to grow not only musically, but spiritually and relationally as they rehearse and tour with teens from Kentucky Baptist churches across the state.
Music ministers will need to know specific information prior to completing the online recommendation form, including the email addresses, mailing addresses and phone numbers of the students and their parents or guardians.
The All-State Youth Choir and Orchestra will meet at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky., during the week of June 18. The week concludes with worship experiences at Kentucky Baptist churches around the state.
