Roughly 10 million Ukrainians have left their homes in the past month. That’s about one-fourth of the country’s population. According to the UN, it’s the largest displacement of Europeans since World War II.
Kentucky Baptists are supporting the Ukrainian refugees as we pray, give, and go. Below you can find various ways to participate.
Prayer is a powerful tool amidst such a conflict. Commit to pray daily for peace and for those involved to come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. For more specific ways to pray, download the SEND Relief Ukraine Prayer Guide using the link below.
Donate to the Ukrainian Relief Fund to aid in relief efforts for Ukrainian refugees. The KBC will forward most donations directly to SEND Relief and hold back a small portion in case refugees make their way to Kentucky. If we do not serve refugees here, then we will send all donations to SEND Relief.
Kentucky Baptist Disaster Relief has been asked to deploy teams to Gdansk, Poland to assist with the Ukrainian Refugee Crisis. We have been asked to deploy one week a month for the next several months. We are beginning the process of building several small teams. You do not have to be a KYDR volunteer in order to apply.
