Need:
Crossroads Community Baptist Church is seeking ministry partners to come and invest their lives here on missions. The scope of ministry includes, but not limited to, leading The Lord’s Café ministry, assist with construction leadership of The Light Community, develop youth ministry, leading worship, and assisting in pastoral duties.
Our faith family operates The Lord’s Café year-round to provide food to the people of our area. Hot lunches are served three days a week year-round. On most Thursdays we offer a Panty Day for the community to receive groceries. We use food as a tool to build relationship in order to share the gospel. This is a compassion ministry.
The Light Community began as a vision in October 2016. Since the beginning of the vision for the new ministry, God has provided a refined calling and resources to see the completion of construction and open the ministry. Our goal is to provide a safe community for individuals and families to grow and thrive. Construction is underway to see this vision come to reality.
Crossroads welcomes mission teams all year. We have partnerships with many churches. Through these partnerships, God provides resources for the ministries to continue.
Ministry Description:
Crossroads Community Baptist Church was started as a church plant in the home of the pastor. The Lord’s Café @ Crossroads Community is a free restaurant ministry to provide hot meals and groceries. At this property, clothing is given away frequently. A mini hair salon provides a place for skill volunteers to cut hair and do nails as they share the gospel. In addition, two ministry closets are maintained to meet the needs of babies and home bound in the area. We meet for weekly worship and Bible Study at The Lord’s Cafe.
The Light Community is in the startup stage. This community will address the need for housing for individuals in our area who need a place to land and get traction to move forward. The community will be a safe haven for those dealing with major life issues. We will be ministering to individuals and families dealing with addiction recovery, true homelessness, individuals seeking out of human trafficking, and families needing discipleship.
